Stay strong. If they feel that strongly about using platforms that support the oligarchy they either want one or are putting profits above people. That’s literally what all of this is about: screwing over people out of insatiable greed.

Regardless I’m not buying a new laptop. My 15 year old netbook is chugging along and if it suddenly died I’d sooner rehab another used one rather than make this economy look in any way good by buying new.

At this point just look for a company that either still has DEI or explicitly asserted its place in the org. Besides kowtowing to the new admin they’re painting a target on their back so they’re probably not doing it out of laziness.

While 25 mins doesn’t sound terrible you have to consider throughput. Long lines, waiting for chargers could become an issue if adoption takes off, and if I ever drove by a set of chargers that was full up and more people waiting that’d probably put me off from buying one.
