Fair
Transfered from Feddit.ch as they closed up shop unfortunately.
Fair
That’s a good point
Why would someone pick PiHole over say a customized NextDNS on your router?
This is really neat. I’ll be trying it out for sure
Agreed
Buy a used one then. GrapheneOS is by far the best mobile operating system. I have used Calyx and have a Lineage tablet. Neither of them compare to how well GrapheneOS works in and of itself as well as with sandboxed Play services
The best option is GrapheneOS on Pixel devices.
You should abandon Apple for Linux anyways. Apple doesn’t care about you, your privacy, or anything but them making more money, from you. This has been proven time and time again by evidence and whistleblowers.
Yup. Keeping old cars going on fossil fuels is so much better than millions of new cars being built every year, and in order for them to be built they ship them around the world to seperate facilities. I could go on and on
Absolutely not. I have been voicing to people to care about this stuff for a number of years. I want people to understand that the majority of politicians are not on the people’s side. They are sold out/corrupt and do things that benefit the elite. The bipartisian-ship of society is holding back America from becoming a nation that looks after it’s people.
Then we have different goals
Data already has been disappearing long before Trump. If we want to prevent this then we need to look for the root cause, which isn’t Trump.
You’re right. Not sure why I wrote it that way
$150,000 thousand. Still expensive none the less
Super cool but $150,000k USD…
I did. Not nearly enough to manage my own router unfortunately
Trying to create a router yourself is complicated. I knew nothing about it and installed OpenWRT onto a Netgear router and was unprepared. I ended up effectively taking a YouTube crash course trying to understand so many new networking terms and more. I got it working but any small tweaks could cause issues as I didn’t fully understand what I was doing. I bought a GL.iNet Flint 2 and have been super happy with it. Save yourself a headache, get a good router like that and start having fun running things on a RPi.
Thank you. That’s incredibly insightful. When I get the cash I’ll setup a PiHole
